Resin Bound Driveway Installation

At Stoneset Resin, we were recently commissioned to upgrade a driveway for a property in Nocton, near Lincoln. At this property, the client wanted to replace their existing loose gravel surface with something more practical and modern.

Before the Installation

The original driveway was laid with gravel, which had become difficult to maintain. While gravel can look neat initially, over time the stones will migrate and weeds begin to grow through, leaving the surface uneven and unattractive.

The homeowner wanted a more robust solution that would maintain a clean look while being easy to care for.

Our Process

The existing gravel was fully removed before we prepared the ground for a new permeable concrete base. This base, installed in partnership with AMS Build Group, provides the perfect foundation for resin bound driveways as it ensures the surface remains durable and fully compliant with drainage regulations.

With the preparation complete, we then installed a VUBA resin bound driveway which had been chosen for its strength, permeability, and smooth, modern finish.

For this project, no new edging was required, as edging had already been installed previously and was still in excellent condition.

The Results

The finished driveway now offers:

  • A seamless, modern appearance that instantly improves kerb appeal.
  • A low-maintenance surface with no loose stones or weeds.
  • Full permeability, ensuring rainwater drains naturally through the surface.
  • A durable finish that will stand the test of time.
